How do the level 34 buildings and items affect the Conform-o-meter?

Level 34 added a couple more buildings, Springfield High School and the Knowledgeum. It also added Chalmers’ 1979 _ONDA, a minnow pond, a campfire, Robby The Automaton, and the World’s Largest Zirconia. Here is how the Conform-o-meter ratings are affected by the new items:

Building or Item Rating Points
Springfield High School Obedience 10
Knowledgeum
1979 _ONDA Vanity 600
Minnow Pond Tree-hugging 400
Campfire Tree-hugging 300
Robby The Automaton Vanity 10
World’s Largest Zirconia Vanity 10,000

Yes, the Knowledgeum doesn’t contribute anything to conformity. Very surprising.

With the new level arrived new requirements to maximize your Conform-o-meter ratings. To stay 5 stars you need the following points at level 34:

Rating Points Amount Changed
Indolence 430 +10
Consumerism 240 0
Tree-hugging 15,815 +1090
Vanity 25,420 +1550
Obedience 250 +20
Gluttony 276 0
Righteousness 141 +7
Socialism 1254 +84

The good news from this is that Consumerism and Gluttony didn’t rise, but the other categories did.

  1. The minute my High school finished building my righteousness dropped from 5 stars to 2.5 stars… How in the world do I bring it back up again? (I did do a little vandalism in my friends town .. Is that bad?)

    1. Maybe that is the reason for the decline. The training wall helps with righteousness also otherwise i suggest you to clean your friends towns

    2. Post coming on this soon, but for now I’d try to clean up vandalism, or buy training walls. And definitely tap on Sideshow Bob when you see him!

  2. I don’t understand why they raise the conformity requirements for areas they don’t release new buildings for! Gluttony, consumerism, and indolence almost always go up even if they haven’t added any new restaurants, stores, or homes. I think it’s ridiculous that we keep having to build so many multiples when they won’t give us more land. 😦

I have all the limited time and premium buildings and still have to have like six KwikEMarts… And I’m almost completely out of space!

  3. Is there anyway to tell how many points you have besides going around your town and counting up your points based on the items you have?

    1. Not that I know of 😦

  5. I have been thinking about the scarcity of shops for a while now, and maybe this might be an idea for a post: Which shops could be added to Springfield? And which might even come with a new character?

And I also came up with a solution to all our consumerism-problems: a Springfield Mall Extension! Open up new land, beyond the current boundaries, which is dedicated to building a shopping district. Of course a quest line with a lot of new shops should come with this, but you should also have the choice to move shops you already have over there, to free up a bit of ‘regular’ land. Maybe also other public buildings like restaurants, but no homes. Some of the old decorations could be used over there as well, maybe a few new ones. Can’t really think of shopping mall specific decorations though except for shopping carts. Any thoughts?

  7. Do the prices of buildings only change for the previous level?

    Like

    1. No. Its the top 5 levels. That means Hermans and zestys should be at their lowest prices now whereas Wolfcastle mansion will have one more decrease i in price.

    I’m having problems with Obedience. By my count, I have 220 Obedience points, yet still have 5* in Obedience. I have Springfield Elementary (10), Power Plant (40), Library (50), Church (60), Jake’s (70), Downs (80), Police Station (81), Penitentiary (82), Town Hall (92), Channel 6 (102), Post Office (112), Hibbert’s (122), Hospital (132), Temple (142), Annex (152), brewery (162), Krustylu (172), Lugash (182) 7 stop signs (189), 1 Hail Ants sign (190), Fort Sensible (200), Aztec (210), Observatory (220).

    What am I missing?

    1. Have you bought alot of signs or a police car both contribute to your obedience rating a sign is +1 and a police car I’m not 100% sure on how much it adds but it is alot. Hope I’ve helped

      Like

      1. The police car gives you 200 points for obedience whereas signs give you 1. You can either pay the premium and put down a police car or do what I did and hide 200 stop signs behind buildings.

Campfire giving tree-hugging points doesn’t really make sense as it is burning trees!

  12. I made the biggest mistake by spending money on the worlds largest zirconia and then I only had enough money for the high school. I’m now down to $9,000 lol I have pretty much everything else so I’m not to worried about getting the money for the next building, but this stuff is starting to get expensive.

And again no new shop. Is it really so difficult to come up with an idea for a shop?
