Not long now guys. 4,000,000,000 Goo!

Hi guys. For the last couple of days now I’ve been putting up the Goo milestones. 2 billion Goo was hit 2 days ago, which was Saturday evening from me. And then one day later came 3 billion. Well this time I’m announcing 4 billion Goo for the event has been collected so far by the TSTO community. In other words, every single TSTO player in the world.

I’ve also been doing an average needed, in order to be able to claim all the community prizes. Please note that this is the worst case scenario.

Our target at TH moment is 5 billion, which means we are only 1 billion shy. The target I have set everyone is 25 billion, and our current average per day is now sitting at 677,419,355 Goo per day will get us an overall total of 25 billion Goo. So, congrats on the great work.

As for the personal prizes, I will do another listing for them in a couple of days as realistically, all the prizes are very much in reach.

Let’s smash this tally together and aim to flood EA with more Goo then they ever expected. We should hope to find out what we have to do, if there is a catch tomorrow.

Thats all from me for now. Enjoy filling up your Goo tanks.

  1. It’s unbelievable that there are/will be that many people tapping away on their smart devices during the month of October alone!

Nearly there! On a side note I am a little annoyed they haven’t spread the tasks out. I have 4 tasks for homer in my task book. It seems every time you win a prize he has a task. Then on top of that the main Halloween quests and strong man homer tasks. It really slows stuff down.

    1. I agree, I think they should have spread out the story lines a lot. There’s enough characters even not counting the premiums to have some kind of quest besides Homer. Even the awards and stuff. Homer has all of the costumes. I wish other characters would get costumes.

It’s actually my first homer costume. I wish premiums were included more (but able to be skipped without missing anything for those without them) we spend donuts on them and after their questline they are not used in quests again apart from the odd time you send your whole town somewhere. The amount of quests homer has and no one else has is the biggest disappointment for me with this update. Lets hope they spread it around more for xmas. This is the second event where we tap stuff for prizes. Wonder if this the norm for events now.

Amber – click on the “Friends” screen or your “Krustyland” screen; it sounds as if you have been logged in for a while (a long while) and need to re-synch. After you do, that should show correctly.

[I also believe this is evidence that the second-by-second upticks do not actually reflect the correct Community Total.]

Calling it a front sounds like an accusation; I prefer to think it is there to give people piece of mind. They can’t actually update it in real time straight to your game, but if it just sat there unchanged for long stretches of time while you were logged in, people would panic.

      2. No, no I didn’t mean anything negatively. I meant kind of what you said that they may not be able to update in real time but it gives people a sense of accomplishing a central goal. Whether it’s not exact or not we should all still do our best to collect Goo. Whether you have reached your Personal prize goal or not. We have to keep going and going regardless of whether the count is accurate.

It’s motivating to think we as players are controlling the counter but it is suspicious that the first of five prizes will be awarded exactly one week after the five-week THoH event began. Hopefully we don’t have to wait two more weeks for the ghost-bombs. I’ll be let down if the FCoLL prize just sits there taking up land with no outdoor tasks or fun quests when I could be having more fun blowing up gaggles of ghosts.

        1. You’re right. It would seem strange that we would have to wait for a prize thats only use is for the event. Unless they make it like the snake rocks after the event

  8. I predict the daily GOO average will only drop further from now on – after people claimed all their personal prizes, the incentive is not that strong any more. And it looks like a lot of people are at least half way to the 10,000 mark.

  9. Does anyone else think that how much we collect really doesn’t matter and EA is basically going to get us to the 25B mark with about a day or two to spare?

  10. Along the Halloween event topic line, will there be a post discussing the various tasks that Springfieldians perform to earn goo? I noticed in others towns that Ned and Apu are doing a task to eliminate ghosts and wasn’t sure when those tasks are unlocked.

    Like

    1. Thats a temporary task in the quest line. It only happens once.

      Like

      1. I could totally be wrong, but I think they become permanent (at least through the event) after those quests. I’m on the next part of the quest already, and I sent both Apu and Ned on those tasks again.

        Like

        1. Nope you are totally CORRECT. Minor error on Mickus’s part but it happens. Those 3 tasks become permanent for the event once you reach Pt. 8 of the main quest.

          Like

      2. Sorry my mistake. Your right. They are temporary tasks that are unlocked after part 7 of the main quest line is complete however, it’s quite discrete and there is no mention of it apart from needing to do it as part of part 8

        Like

    2. Once you reach Part 8 of the Ghost in the Machine-based App (main quest) you will unlock those tasks. I posted yesterday which characters earn Goo. Apu, Ned and Frink all get Goo earning tasks that remain after the quest is over. They are permanent event quests once you unlock them .

    1. She will disappear when the event finishes unless you buy her.

    2. I thin it stinks that Kodos is a free character yet you have to buy the Ray Gun with donuts to shoot her/him/it down.

Kodos is not a free character. The Raygun is the “building” that you need to unlock Kodos, the same as the bus for Otto or the SWAT van that unlocked Lou and Eddie.

        1. Either way, it is unlocked by WINNING the Ultrahouse 2. So it makes no sense that you unlock it by winning something and then have to pay to get it. Either way to dress it up it’s not right in my opinion. I can see if you had to buy the Ultrahouse 2.

“Either way, it is unlocked by WINNING the Ultrahouse 2.”

No, the ability to unlock Kodos as a playable character comes after you get Ultrahouse 2, and requires the purchase of the raygun in order to actually unlock.

It’s exactly the same as last year; at a certain point in one of the quest lines, the ability to buy the raygun was unlocked just by your basic progression. But you still had to buy the raygun in order to unlock the character (Kang, at that point).

The unlock happens after the completion of the ultrahouse2 quest and you need to shot down the ufo to get Kodos (which I havent done yet)

      3. Yeah, it is kind of a bummer. But at least they gave us Kang for free! (If you didn’t already have him).

Which is probably the reason they structured it this way. Because if you played last year and bought Kang, Kodos is technically free this year because you can use your old Ray Gun. So people from last year might be upset if something they spent 150 donuts on last year was free to new players. This way, everyone gets one free character, but needs to spend donuts if they want both.

I hope that made sense. Haha.

        1. It ends up being a bummer for someone either way but I agree. I don’t agree with them raising the Ray Gun to 150 donuts versus 100 last year. Everything else from last year went down in price.

          Like

      4. I think it was 150 last year too. But towards the end of the event they lowered it.

But yeah. There’s so much free stuff, and I’ve already own over 20 donuts on my free account from this event. So even though it’s a bit of a bummer, this event has been really cool!

        Like

        1. Thats right. It was the near end that they dropped Kang to 100 donuts last year
