Number 1 Tasks, Part 1

The tasks which Number 1 assigns are random, in that which one you get comes from a pool of tasks of that same length. To get the maximum number of emblems, you have to complete 4 different tasks, of possible lengths of 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours and 6 hours. Which length tasks you get changes every day. Some of the days this is not a problem, like today (June 5th), when I got tasks of length 1h, 2h, 2h and 4h, for a total of 9 hours. But with 6 hour tasks available, there will be some long days.

You have to complete the tasks before the timer resets in order to get the full credit of emblems.

The files imply that there are set length tasks for every day, and Friday the 6th was supposed to be of length 4h, 4h, 2h, and 6h. But as the comments below show, the first task people received was a 1 hour task. So in addition to the random tasks, they are of random lengths.

  2. I’m playing in the Uk and it’s almost 11 pm but my timer reset is scheduled for 2 hours time. I guess EA doesn’t understand BST (British Summertime) only GMT. It is annoying though.

  3. TWO FREAKING 4 HOUR TASKS IN A ROW TODAY… If my last two tasks of the day are anything over 1 hour I’m not going to be pleased.

    • Well, my last task was 6h but the reset time was changed to 2am for me so I still got the 400 emblems without rushing – the 6h task ended 40 min past midnight.
For my friend in the UK the reset time didnt change and his last 6h task became the first task of the 7th. So unfair that he missed the 400!

  4. My number 1 tasks reset at midnight last night, uk time, the icon flashing for a second or 2, then this morning at 8, it was clearly readable. The tasks to be done were different between my phone game, my tablet game and my sons game which I do when he is at school. 1 was an hour task and 2 were 4 hour tasks, both different people required. Then the completed 1 hour task was followed by a 4, different again. It seems that they are completely random to each game, might make it impossible to predict what people would get in their game. The list of character groups is a great help in finding who to send on the next task. Thanks.

    • Yes, the tasks from No1 is randomized. When you have the flashthing, ANNOYING, you can still set the task and complete it by going through each characters tasklist and spot the one 1/2/4/6h task that is odd. It is timeconsuming but it works. You only need one for the task.

  5. Getting a 4-hour or 6-hour task last sucks. Typically I won’t be able to start those until after 8pm with not much chance of getting sneaky ones in whilst I’m at work.

Tomorrow… well set a 4-hour task at breakfast, then another 4-hour one at lunch, then I’m just starting the 2-hour task when I get home from work at 5.30-6 meaning no way the 6-hour task gets done.

However – it looks like tasks wrap around? I’m not going to stay up to find out mind, still 1.5h left on the last 4-hour task from today and it’s past midnight already. Hmm.

      • I think this is answered below… judging by what I’m seeing, I’m going to get 150 for completing yesterday’s last task late, meaning I only have 3 tasks to do “today”. That helps! I might have a fighting chance.

      • I can verify that if you don’t complete the last task before the end of the time allowed, you still get emblems when you get a chance to collect, but it’s a reduced amount. When I collected from last night 4 hr task this morning I got 150 rather than the 400. It’s better than nothing.

        • Good to know! Did it reduce the tasks for the new day or do you still have four tasks to do? Just wondering since the first payout is 150.

          • No it doesn’t change the tasks for the next day. Since the event started earlier this week, I’ve yet to complete the 4 tasks within the allowed time (due to my work schedule). Each day I’ve still gotten the 4 tasks with the time frames that everyone else gets.

      • Update: it looks very much as if collecting a still-running task that goes into the next day, counts for the next day’s tasks.

This was in both my towns, both of which had the final 4-hour task from yesterday still running and due to finish at around 1.30am.

I collected both just before 8am, and both gained 150 emblems, and lit up the ‘first task completed’ for today! Means I only have to complete 3 tasks today instead of 4? I shall see.

        • That’s not what I remember seeing this morning, but then I wasn’t paying real close attention since I was also getting ready for work at the time. I though I had 4 fresh tasks to perform for today. I’ll have to double check when I get home later today and see exactly how many more tasks I have to perform.

  6. Just started task 1 for the 6th and it’s 60 min, definitely not complaining but I thought you might want to know. Maybe the task length is generated more randomly?

  8. You have to complete the last task before the timer expires. Yesterday I started late in the day and my time expired only 30 minutes before the last task finished and it went back to the 150. 😦
