After a great response from the previous posts of Negative Nathan and Positive Poppy we are both back to discuss the negatives and positives of the latest event. These posts will now be posted once a month reviewing the month or a certain update. This is a balanced argument post as I look at the negatives and Poppy will look at the positives. So let’s get started with reviewing the latest event, Clash of Clones. I will start off by looking at the negatives and Poppy following in the same post by looking at the positives.
Today’s in-game update changed a fair number of things, all relating to the Clash of Clones Event. Here’s what I’ve found:
Icon on bottom right was changed from the Castle to Trophy. Tapping it takes you to the Personal Prizes dialog, where you can still access the Castle Summary by tapping the castle icon in the lower right corner.
The icon on the Elixir Bundle in the Personal Prizes dialog was changed from the truck of 4000 Elixir to the 3 bottles of 1000 Elixir. The code was awarding 1000 since the start of the event, but the text and the icon implied it was giving 4000. So they changed the text and icon to reflect what it was really giving.
Code was added to both the Spuckler kid cash generation mechanism and the Krustyland visitor ticket generation to make the messages clearer.
So everything In this event didn’t cost game currency with some small items being premium. In this post we will be looking at the premium guide for the Chicken Coop the limited time decoration for the Medieval event of 2014! This will be a normal premium guide as we look at game information and look at the pros and cons on purchasing this decoration. So lets get started!:
Just a small quick reminder post to tell you that it’s Wednesday and you know what that means!? It’s Elixir Wednesday! That means Elixir is now available for purchase with donuts all day every Wednesday until the event comes to an end! Elixir is available for purchase from 8:00am GMT today and will be up for 24 hours.
Elixir is the event currency that allows you to level up your castles and buy Elixir decorations however remember it will not help you unlock prizes as that requires a different currency, gold! I missed Elixir Wednesday last week so I received the dialogue message:
The Ice Bucket Challenge has been attempted by almost everyone across the globe! From celebrities to average day people, everyone has almost attempted the Ice Bucket Challenge to support ALS! And today saw Homer Simpson take on the Ice Bucket Challenge in a new light. Check out Homer Simpsons Ice Bucket Challenge below:

Hello, everybody. I am here to moan and muse about stuff relating to this game, for the 46th time. I’ve waited a little while to do this post as the rest of the team have been getting the posts out for you about our latest event, obviously Clash of Clones, and I didn’t want to flood you with too much stuff. It’s died down a little now, so I’m gonna spend my Monday evening with you folks.
So first, nitpickety observations, of course. I only have one, and that is where during some CoC quest dialogue, Ned says “That’s a little too much TMI”. Of course, this touches the OCD nerve of myself and hopefully someone else (or perhaps they flicked through without reading it), because it induces some of the old RAS syndrome, like PIN number, because Ned is actually saying “too much too much information”. Yet another dozy developer making mistakes. Does nobody proof-read what they write? But I’m balanced: it could be a joke about how Ned doesn’t know how to use modern slang. Continue reading →
The Medieval Times/Clash of Clones event is now upon us and is an event that is like no other in Tapped Out history. This is a huge event with a lot of new content, characters, and info, so I am going to have to break it up into a few parts throughout the course of the event. I hope that you are all enjoying this update as I am and as the team here at TopiX are. I’m going to cover this as best as I can, so bear with me and please feel free to correct me if there are any discrepancies. Let’s get started.
