The Musk Who Fell to Earth

Episode Description: When inventor Elon Musk lands in Springfield, he and Homer become fast friends and revolutionize the town’s nuclear plant. But when Musk goes overboard and Mr. Burns wants him removed, Homer must figure out a way to break up with him.

Episode Details: ‘The Musk Who Fell to Earth’ is the 12th episode of Season 26 as well as the 564th episode of The Simpsons. The episode aired on FOX on January 25, 2015 and was written by Neil Campbell and directed by Matthew Nastuk.

EPISODE FACTS!:

  • The episode name is a reference to the 1963 novel The Man Who Fell to Earth, which was adapted into a 1976 film and a 1987 television program. David Bowie also sung The Man Who Fell to Earth and directed the 1976 film.
  • Elon Musk gives Bart a fully functioning lightsaber from Star Wars.
  • Carl sings Johnny Mercer and Harold Arlen’s 1941 song “Blues in the Night”.
  • Kent Brockman says: “Attention fans of the The Little Rascals! The last of them died today in Palm Springs.”
  • Elon Musk is seen playing The Simpsons: Tapped Out in his spaceship. He is level 8, has 410$ and 1227 Donuts, and has Marge unlocked, something impossible for a Level 8, due to Marge and Moe being unlockable at Level 15.

  • It is revealed that Bart came up with Maggie’s name.

SPECIAL GUEST!:

Elon Reeve Musk (born June 28, 1971) is a South African-born Canadian-American business magnate, inventor, and investor.

  1. I guess there’s no V Day event today, huh? Which means, assuming the usual pattern holds, none this week. Too bad. If they don’t break their habit and give us something tomorrow or over the weekend, then I believe this will be the first time since mid-August that a week has passed without the opportunity to unlock any new or limited-time content whatsoever.

      • I hadn’t thought of Carnival, I assumed that, since they’ve done V Day twice running now, they’d continue. But I think I would prefer a Mardi Gras party.

Level 49 was fun and it took me almost a week to complete all the quests; but the Musk tie-in, the Queen Helvetica stuff, and the second half of the Christmas event were all snooze-fests. The game is just now getting exciting again and I’m dreading immediately going back to the tedium of business-as-usual just as it’s started picking up.

  2. All games must agree to switch off the screen. Only TSTP not. This is very annoying because you have to log in again on the server and it takes too long.
    Why does this happen?

The grapewine says Valentine is near.
What to expect is hard to say. Hoping for the return of Brandine and Shauna. Personally, Id like to see Jessica Lovejoy added.
Some sort of social interaction, cards again? will probably occur. Cross our fingers that there will be no wheel.

Thank you !! Yes, no wheel again. I wish they would do more creative ways to earn prizes etc… And I agree Jessica Lovejoy would be a good addition to Simpsons Tapped Out or even a love interest from Lisa Simpsons past. I think they should put new characters in the game besides Brandine and Shauna again. Hoping they add Maggie soon to complete the Simpsons Family even Abe’s wife/Homer’s mom ?

As you can tell no answer to when it will happen yet ? Here is the EA website to where it was posted http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Simpsons-Tapped-Out/bd-p/The-Simpsons-Tapped-Out.

      • Did not know that. It was very nice of Minicha to answer my question on EA even if Valentine’s Day is unknown for Simpsons Tapped Out.

      • Maybe next week if not by tommorrow(Wednesday). I’m in no rush. Trying to reorganize my town before the next update. Yeah, I made a mistake in my last post. Thanks for correcting it. Wouldn’t let me go back to edit my sentence.

    • Based on the dialogue that came with the broken wheel Christmas prize, I’m not thinking there’s much danger of that. I hope we also don’t end up with tons of decorations we can’t use and can’t get rid of, as wound up happening with the V Day, Easter, and Clones events last year. (Hmm, now that I think about it, there’s a direct correlation between how much I dislike an event and how much excess useless crap we get during that event.)

Young Miss Lovejoy would make a fine addition to our towns. My initial thought was Seth McFarlane’s character from the S24 finale, but your suggestion is much more interesting, especially since we already have Artie Ziff.

Please not Brandine and Shauna again. One of the major complaints many of us have had against the game the last few months is, too little new content, too many retreads.

  4. This was a lame episode. No effort went into it at all. It wasn’t funny, it wasn’t interested; all it had was a special guest star, and he was flat.

But the new level did give me my Simpsons fix for the week, especially when my curiosity about Michael’s backstory led me to watch the S18 premier, his introductory episode, on FX Now. Now THAT was a good Simpsons episode.
