What Changed With the Wild West Takedown Update? (May 31st)

The Wild West Takedown update was just released by EA. As most of you know by now, every update not only brings new content but also changes to many other aspects of the game. From prices to appearance, task lengths to requirements, any part of the game is subject to change and many changes affect every player. Follow us right after the jump for the list of all of the changes.

Casino Nessie, Stampy and Street Cleaner can now roam the dirt roads too.


Sideshow Bob’s spawn rate if he has not been unlocked and Bob’s Victorian House is not bought, has returned to normal.


Sophie Krustofski and Patches and Poor Violet can now Bounce on the Moonbounce.


Town Plaza Start a Craze jobs can now be started anytime, and now yield $175 and 45 XP.

Town Plaza Ended

Brutus and Prospector were added to the game as NPCs.


World’s Largest Redwood now plays the correct sound depending on its level.

Levels 1-4

Levels 5-8

Level 9

Wild West event Leaderboard was removed.

The app icon and the splash screen were changed back to normal.

Town land point was set back to normal.

Human Statue now only spawns and walk on Boardwalk.


A glitch preventing Duff Gardens promo from appearing in store menu was fixed. Due to not changing the duration of the promo, those that have started the Gil Deal and had 7 days passed can’t get it yet.


Town Plaza and General Store can now be stored.

Town Plaza can now show the Wild West event Act Finale Collections.

Story Finales Ended

Frontier Freebies quest icon was changed to the Bank.


The quest Once Upon a Time in Springfield Pt. 9 was changed to The Dirtiest Roads in Springfield, Cletus’ first text was changed and the requested jobs Place Dirt Road and Make Springfielders Use Frontier Mannerisms were removed. Its quest icon was changed to Dirt Tile.


General Store task was added: Watching Obsolete Goods Gather Dust.

Currency Earning Buildings now earn cash and XP.


Bandit Fort task was changed from Preparing for a Raid to Raiding Unwary Settlers.

Gummy Joe’s 24h job Market Toothless Joe Gum was removed.


Tumbleweed’s tap animation doesn’t stop the screen for its duration anymore.

  1. Is it just me or did Arnie pie’s job get smaller when he is flying across the screen. It may be old but I love it, so much better!


  2. Tumbleweed no longer pauses entire screen. It works as normal, like all NPC do. 🙂

  5. So the Human Statue doesn’t wander from Squidport any more. NIce to here this. I got fed up with arresting him in town and releasing him back to SP.
