Should I Buy the Yard Sale 2014 Buildings?

Hello Tappers!

So the Yard Sale of July, 2014 is coming to an end. However as we took a break from the Yard Sale content due to Level 43 we are covering our final two posts of the Yard Sale, 2014. In this post we will be looking at the two Yard Sale buildings, the Ultrahouse 2 and the Helter Shelter. As this is not a premium guide we will just be looking at the pros and cons of the buildings as most of there information was covered in previous posts during the events they appeared in.

Ultrahouse 2:

So the Ultrahouse 2 has returned from the Halloween event of 2013. The Ultrahouse 2 was originally free as you could earn the building through the event currency. And now the building is costing donuts, so should you purchase the Ultrahouse 2? First lets have a look at the pros and cons of the building:

Pros and Cons:

  • Earns $135 and 15 XP every 8 hours
  • Comes with a quest
  • Adds 10 points to the indolence on the Conform-O-Meter
  • Easy to place and works well with other buildings/decorations

  • No characters interact with the building
  • It was originally free with event currency during the event
  • You can get much better items at the same price or lower
  • The building has no animation

In conclusion I think this is a BIG NO for me as the building adds nothing to your town that is worth getting excited for. This is just another ordinary building that you would be wasting your donuts on if you purchased it. There are plenty of other great deals to buy during the yard sale and the two buildings (Ultra House and Helter Shelter) are both a terrible deal. I would suggest picking other purchasing options for the Yard Sale than this building.

Helter Shelter:

The Helter Shelter has returned from the Christmas event of 2013. The building has shrunk in size since the event and was originally free via event currency. Lets have a look at the pros and cons of the Helter Shelter:

Pros and Cons:

  • Earns $500 and 45XP every 24 hours
  • Comes with a quest
  • An easy small building to place in your town

  • No characters interact with the building
  • No Conform-O-Meter bonus
  • Was originally free with event currency during the event

NO, NO, NO! This is a building you shouldn’t even consider of buying as this is just a waste of donuts and the building will end up in your inventory and forgotten about. This is a building that adds nothing special to your town or Conform-O-Meter! This building will waste up your precious land unless EA decide to shrink it some more. I would 100% not consider this building if it was on offer to me as for 45 donuts it is a bit of a waste.

So that is everything from this premium guide and with one more post to go for the Yard Sale of 2014. Happy Tapping, Nathan.

When will we get the Easter Event?

NOTE: This post does not confirm the date but only speculate and take a look at when the Easter event could arrive.

Hello Tappers!

There has been a lot of questions about when will we get the Easter event? Now in my recent post I said that the Easter event has been confirmed with a source claiming that he spoke to EA giving him the information it will arrive on Wednesday. However the date is not for certain and it was the only information so far to go off.

The Easter event could arrive any day this week with Easter on Sunday. This post will take a look into each day and speculate what day the Easter update could arrive.

In some parts of the world we are half way through the day and Monday has a very low chance of providing us with the Easter event. The Simpsons: Tapped Out has not from my knowledge given us updates on a Monday and I wouldn’t expect them to start now. The current update for the episode tie-in ‘Days of Future Future’ has yet to end so it would seem odd to add an event and still keep the episode tie-in until its end date of Tuesday.

Outsiders’ Musings XXIX: Friendly thoughts and local airing

Well, folks, I am very happy to say there is only one day left until the winter event is fully over! Hopefully the snow will go with the quests and we can get our green fields back. And I don’t think anybody is unhappy to see the back of blasted spin wheel. We at TopiX couldn’t be bothered to wait the extra day so we’ve taken down our site decorations (snow, tree, header) and gone back to our non-event skin.
