The Characters and Costumes Of The Simpsons Tapped Out (Update: This Thanksgiving’s Gone to the Birds! and Cyber Monday 2017)

Hello fellow tappers, recently it was requested to post the complete collection of characters of the game so here we are.

I’ve included all characters collections and mentioned all costumes (that don’t appear in other characters collections). Enjoy. There’re a lot: 104 with 42 just added by the This Thanksgiving’s Gone to the Birds! and Cyber Monday 2017 updates, and 2 unknown ones added by the Spring Cleaning and the Destination Springfield Takedown updates.

All costumes pictures has been added now as well as the item they’re associated with. Characters in red means the character or costume is not associated with it.
Characters in blue means the character is an NPC, with no jobs.
Thanks to SurlyCodger at AHQ for the list of items associated with the characters.
Notes: There’re a lot of images in the article. Beware of your internet limit.

How many civic items do I need to maximize the Obedience rating?

Last Updated: September 17th, 2014.

Obedience is the fifth of the Conform-o-meter ratings. (For more information about the Conform-o-meter, see here. For more information about the other Conform-o-meter ratings and other technical details in the game, see here.)

obedience

As the dialog says, buy public buildings to keep society docile. It’s not just buildings that affect Obedience, some decorations do too.

Most of the buildings which affect Obedience provide 10 points each. See this post for the number of Obedience points you need for each level.

The buildings which affect Obedience are:

  • Springfield Elementary
  • Nuclear Plant Cooling Towers
  • Nuclear Plant Control Building
  • Nuclear Plant Reactor Core
  • Springfield Library
  • First Church of Springfield
  • Jake’s Unisex Hair Palace
  • Springfield Downs
  • Police Station (only 1 point for Obedience but gives 10 points for Righteousness)
  • Springfield Penitentiary (only 1 point for Obedience but gives 10 points for Righteousness)
  • Town Hall
  • Channel 6 Studios
  • Springfield Post Office
  • Hibbert Family Practice
  • Springfield General Hospital
  • Springfield Buddhist Temple
  • Adult Education Annex
  • Calmwood Mental Hospital
  • All Night Gym
  • Springfield High School
  • DMV
  • Office of Unemployment
  • Springfield County Courthouse
  • Itchy & Scratchy Studio
  • KBBL Radio

Premium buildings:

  • Open Air Stage
  • Aztec Theatre
  • Duff Brewery
  • Springfield Observatory
  • Krustylu Studios
  • Lugash’s Gym
  • Disco Stu’s Disco

Clash of Clones buildings (limited-time):

  • Barbarian Castle

Limited-time buildings (no longer available):

  • Fort Sensible
  • First Church of Lard Lad
  • Banana Dictatorship
  • Stonecutter Lodge
  • Stonecutter Daycare Center
  • Abandoned Store
  • All Seeing Eye

At one point the Spinster City Apartments affected Obedience but now they’re Indolence. The Springfield Pet Shop used to be Obedience but is now Consumerism.

The regular decorations which affect Obedience:

Item Cost ($) Points
Stop Sign 385 1
Hail Ants Sign 450 1
Lady Justice Statue 4500 10

The premium decorations which affect Obedience:

Item Cost (donuts) Points Bonus Bonus per donut
Ambulance 30 10 0.50% 0.017%
Police Car 40 200 2.00% 0.050%
Little Lady Justice 75 10 2.75% 0.037%
Golden Calf Idol 30 10 0.75% 0.025%

Little Lady Justice was one of the newer premium decorations to be added, but as you see above, the Police Car is the one to get if you want to get more Obedience points. And it comes with a healthy bonus percentage.

And lastly, the limited-time decorations (no longer available) which contribute Obedience points:

Item Points Bonus
Liberty Bell 10
Lisa Liberty Statue 10 2.75%
USS Tom Clancy 10 2.25%
Ghost Zapper 600 2.25%
Sacred Parchment 10
Ark Of The Stonecovenant 10
Chest of Sacred Artifacts 10

There are 23 non-premium civic buildings which give 10 points each. At level 45 you need 310 Obedience points, so where will you get those last 80 points? A few premium buildings perhaps, or a lot of Stop Signs and Hail Ants Signs?
