A new update was just released, releasing the Havana Wild Weekend Episode Tie-In. As most of you know by now, every update not only brings new content but also changes to many other aspects of the game. From prices to appearance, task lengths to requirements, any part of the game is subject to change and many changes affect every player. Follow us right after the jump for the list of all of the changes.
Just a quick announcement that I have created our newest Add Me page in preparation for the upcoming Medieval Times event. The page can be found here. Please do NOT post your ID’s on this post. This is just an announcement to make everyone aware of the new page. Enjoy!
A lot of questions have been coming through asking similar things. “Why can’t I drop cards in some of my neighbors towns?”
Well this can be one of three things, and trust me, it’s not you, it’s them:
Your neighbor has not updated to the Valentine’s version of the game. This might be because they are unaware of the update, they might not want the update, they might be away/on holidays or having trouble with the game like a lot of us have.
Again, they could be having trouble with the game, they may have updated but not been able to do the first quest which triggers the update. Don’t blame the player, blame the game!
Every single character in your neighbors town has already received a valentine from another friend of theirs. This one is the most common and all you can do is try again in a little while.
I have heard reports that if no characters roaming around your friend’s Springfield can be given Valentine’s cards then you can head into their Krustyland, where you should be able to find a character to send your card too.
As genfiredragon pointed out, non playable characters (npc’s) can also receive hearts so if you’re one who tucks away your snow monsters for next winter I would suggest bringing them out again so there is more ways for you to receive Valentine’s cards.
I know this was not the next post that many of you were anticipating but with the huge jump in site traffic in the last few days I’ve encountered quite an annoyance that I need to get out of the way.
We are here for anyone and everyone who wants to find friends to add for the game or to place your user ID for others to add, in fact we encourage it at all costs. However, we have specific pages JUST for people to add and receive user IDs. Many, and I mean TONS of you are using random post comment threads to put your Add Mes. Please only use the Add Me pages to do this. We want our post comment threads to be open and available for those who have genuine concerns, questions or comments related to the specific post.
ANY Origin ID or Add Me request that is not in the designated pages will not be accepted and will be deleted. We thank you all for coming to our site and utilizing the options to add friends but please do it properly. I will send the Grumple to those of you who still put their ID’s in the wrong posts.
Thank you for your patience and in advance for following the correct method to find friends for this great game.
Whenever a big update or event hits the Tapped Out world we see a huge amount of new players. Most likely a friend or family member tells another friend or family member about the current goings on in the game and then BOOM…..tons of new players. Going through the many comments each day when I can I have seen a very common one that comes up, “How do I add friends?” This is probably one of the most important aspects of the game, especially during events, and it’s something everyone needs to know. We here at Topix want to provide information on every aspect of the game for players at any level so I’m going to assist those of you who do not know how to add friends.
The first step in adding friends is finding someone to add. When you register with Origin you are given a username that appears on the splash screen every time you start your game. Everyone is given a username and many Tapped Out sites, ours included, have a page for people to enter their usernames in the hopes that someone will add them to their own friends list. If you do not know your username simply open your game to the main screen and you will see something like this:
At the bottom it will say “Welcome back, <your username>”
I wanted to get this out while I’m working on more Halloween Event posts. We have noticed a lot of readers putting their Origin ID’s on regular game posts. There are 2 pages for Add Me’s and we are asking you all to please use only those pages to list your Origin ID. The two pages are: I Choo-choo Choose You Krustyland Friends
Either page is perfectly fine for the current event. From this point forward any ID that is not in one of those pages above, we will be removing them.
Our goal is not to nag or be rude, we just want the comment feeds of each post to contain comments that directly pertain to the subject matter. Someone seeking help or advise shouldn’t have to scroll through a ton of ID’s.
We thank you for your cooperation and hope you all are enjoying the event and are easily gaining friends.
If you do not see your comment put through, chances are it contained an ID and was not relevant to the post. The above pages are more than suitable for Origin ID’s and Add Me’s
Happy Tapping! Topix Staff
